In 1997 IceBits designed and delivered, jointly with a US supplier of used and reconditioned (2ndH) equipment, a complete refrigerating plant for a fish processing facicity at Pesquera Siglo in Guaymas, Mexico. The plant consists several horizontal contact plate freezers, a blast freezer, an ice making facility and a large frozen storage room. It is refrigerated with rotary screw compressors, equipped for pumped recirculation of R717 refrigerant (ammonia) and heat is rejected through evaporative condensers. The plant operated successfully from the first day on, and still does.
